How to Get Machine Readable Passport of Bangladesh

Passport is a very essential thing. When it will be required in emergency you may not know. So it is better to have a passport ready. Now Bangladesh Govt is providing machine readable passport. And you can apply through online. Now a days it became very easy to have a passport. So let see how to get this.

Step 1.
At first you have to deposit Passport fees. Because when you will endorse online application form all the details of your deposit will be required. You have to deposit 6000 taka if you want to have normal passport and 3000 taka for express passport. But for govt official passport you need not to provide money. And for non govt official passport only 3000 thousand taka you have to deposite. In Dhaka city you can deposit in some authorized Sonali Bank like Agargaon branch and College gate branch.

Step2
Go to http://www.passport.gov.bd/ , read instructions carefully and fill up the form, select a date when you will give your biometric test like photo and finger print. Recheck and submit. One pdf file will be delivered to your email id.  Note down your id and password. Then on selected date go to passport office.

Step 3
You have to carry your printed application form attested by one first class officer. Paste your photo and bank deposit recite with application form. Directly go to main gate and ask the front desk parson. There one army parson is always available. Ask for your next activities. He will tell you to go to a room number for signing your application by auth person and for giving serial number for your photo and finger print.

Step 4
Your biometric test may be on the same date. So be prepared for that. Wear formal dress. Go to specific room for your photo and finger print. Then they will give you a paper mentioning the date of collection of your passport. You job is finished. Just collect your passport on the specified date and be happy.
